Japan-Based Course on Zoom in 2024

Important Note
This class requires all students to be willing to look into the parts of themselves that they have kept hidden in the past. Therefore, discomfort and inner pain may come to the surface on the way to experiencing a deep healing process. Students who wish to work deeply on self-integration, ego and shadow work, and the awakening process are the ones who will receive the most benefit from this class. Even though we use the framework of "learning to channel," the process is actually one of self-actualization and integration that is necessary to build the foundation upon which healthy channeling must be based.

Formats
Year-Long Intensive (Japan) - The detailed information on this page mostly refers to Lyssa's year-long channel training course offered in Japan, from which all other formats are derived. The year-long format offers the course in 3 4-day modules, approximately 3 months apart, followed by a 4th module of 2 days, which is the graduation course. Between modules, students are given homework to continue their practice. This format is extremely popular in Japan and has a wonderful reputation with students and the public. It sells out every year. But this format is not always practical in all instances.
Three, 4-Day Modules (USA on Zoom) - This class was first held on Zoom in 2021 and the format included 3 modules of 4 days each. After taking this class, graduates are able to attend any advanced or graduate-level channeling classes. The modules are usually held in April, May, and August, but this may change from year to year. 5-Day Super-Intensive - In 2012 we introduced a 5-day, super intensive format near Rome, Italy. While successful, this format can also be extremely intense for students and Lyssa alike! We offered it for practical reasons, to make it easy for students from many countries to immerse themselves in the work with no distractions, and then take what they've learned and apply it at home in their channeling practice. It is not likely that we will be offering this format again. There is an important development that happens in between modules when one takes time to develop, and with an intensive such as this, the opportunity to engage that process is not present.
We are examining ways to make the course as convenient as possible for students. At the same time, Lyssa feels very strongly that if she is going to teach channeling, then it is her responsibility to provide an in depth course that gives students all the tools they need. To Lyssa, teaching people to channel in one weekend or in a short course with no ongoing support is unethical. For her, the process is sacred and must be treated as such, which is why the course is so intensive.
Learning to channel is a very personal and deep journey of profound humility and sacredness. It requires that the channel go deep inside, confront the ego, and process their own fears and negative beliefs so that they do not taint the channeling. This course will honor the sacredness of the skill of channeling and encourage students to use the channeling process and a powerful tool for their personal and spiritual growth. Ultimately, it is best to have no expectations about the outcome of your channeling, but to instead stay in the moment and enjoy the process. A paradox is that one of the strongest obstacles to learning to channel is expectation, and having goals set forth by the ego! We encourage students to release expectation and simply have fun and learn at the same time.

The description of the course below is quite comprehensive, and is based on the year-long Japanese course. In shorter formats, all of these subjects may not be covered or may be abbreviated. This curriculum is designed to create a solid foundation upon which the skill of channeling (or merely connecting with one's Higher Self) can be supported.
The purpose of this course is to provide a quality and in depth training program for those wishing to either learn to channel, deepen their channeling abilities, or connect with the higher self. It is designed to stimulate a deep process of opening the channeling abilities while providing clear and detailed information about channeling and becoming the clearest channel possible. It is offered only by Lyssa and her channeled guides, based on her decades of experience. Further information about the course is outlined below. Who should take this course? This course can profoundly benefit all types of interested students including: |
- Those who have a deep attraction to learning to channel can benefit strongly from this course. Even if you have had no experience in channeling, this course will provide all the information and practical guidance you need to begin the process of opening to channel and continue the growth process even after the course is finished.
- Students who are already channeling but who wish to refine their skills and learn from a channel with more than 30 years of experience are welcome. Because this course is so in depth and there will be many teachings based on Lyssa’s experience, even those already channeling can benefit through her guidance. Through this course, beginner and intermediate level channels can refine their skills and expand their potentials as channels.
- Students who have no interest in channeling spirit guides but who want to connect profoundly with their Higher Selves and integrate that connection into their lives are also welcome to attend. They can benefit because of the unique perspective of this course – that in order to clearly connect with the universe, the channel needs to clear his or herself, as well as learn the skill of integrating the universal energies into their lives in a practical way.
- Students who may channel in ways different than verbal channeling (such as art, writing and dance) can benefit by clearing themselves and establishing a stronger connection with their guides and/or Higher Self. Students don’t just have to want to channel verbally. There are many forms and styles of channeling. Some of Lyssa's graduates include jewelry designers, actors, musicians, and artists. The class has helped them connect more deeply with their craft.
- Students who wish to work deeply on self-integration, ego and shadow work, and the awakening process are also welcome. Even though we use the framework of "learning to channel," the process is actually one of self-actualization and integration that is necessary to build the foundation upon which healthy channeling can be explored.
A Brief Description of the Modules (3 or 4 Module Format)
Module 1: Body and Mind
In this beginner level module, we will explore the foundational beliefs about channeling as well as getting the channel ready for the process through deep inner work. Included will be:
Homework will be given so that the students can practice in between module 1 and 2. It is strongly recommended that students continue the growth process between modules. In this way, the growth continues throughout the 15 months of the course. It is also encouraged that students form bonds between them and work together independent of the course. As we move to later modules, this group work will become essential. Please note that the list above is only a guide. We will work according to the readiness of the group. Classes in recent years have been accelerated, thus the pace of the class will be guided by each individual group.
Module 2: Energetics
In this intermediate level we will begin working directly with our energy fields and the chakras. We will also gently begin inviting the spirit guides to begin the process of blending with the new channels. Included will be:
Homework will be given, to be done between module 2 and 3. Group work with other classmates will be encouraged. Please note that the list above is only a guide. We will work according to the readiness of the group. Classes in recent years have been accelerated, thus the pace of the class will be guided by each individual group.
Module 3: Channeling Practice
In this advanced module, we will work more directly with utilizing the channeled energy and bring it through to the physical reality. We will work often in groups as a way to encourage each other. Included will be:
Homework will be given after this module to help refine the skills of the channel. It will be strongly encouraged to work in small groups because
peer support becomes so important at this level of development. It helps to build confidence. Please note that the list above is only a guide. We will work according to the readiness of the group. Classes in recent years have been accelerated, thus the pace of the class will be guided by each individual group.
Module 4: Graduation Module (Given mostly in Japan or online on Zoom for Graduates)
Part I - In this module, a private session with Lyssa is recommended (when she offers them) so that you can refine your ability even more, with her private coaching. It is recommended that this session be utilized for the following:
1. Personal questions with Lyssa, Sasha or Germane about your channeling process
2. Channeling practice with Lyssa, so that she can work with you while you are channeling
In this module, please know that Lyssa will not be ‘judging’ your channeling, but only trying to help you in the best way possible. The channeling process is unique to everyone and your unique skill will be supported!
Part 2 - The second part of this module in Japan is a 2-day graduation seminar at a sacred site, in which the group will get together, practice, and share with each other with Lyssa’s guidance. During this seminar students will also receive their certificate of graduation.
In the first Japanese course, this graduation seminar was held on Okinawa Island at the World Heritage sacred site of Sefa Utaki – the sacred training ground of the ancient channels of the Ryukyu kingdom. Here, students received an initiation in the way of the ancient priestesses as they received their graduation certificates. Another year, it was held on the live volcanic island of Oshima. (It was originally scheduled to take place during the earthquake of 2011). In other years, it was held at power spots on Izu Peninsula, such as Osezaki (2012) and Dogashima (2013). We've also had a graduation retreat in Hakone, a site that has a lot of volcanic activity. For those courses taken outside of Japan, this module will be modified. Since 2017, the retreats in Japan have all returned to Okinawa, and the sacred "Island of Channels" called Kudaka-jima.
Advanced Follow-Up (Module 5 - Optional)
In this 1-day session, Lyssa introduces more practices to enhance channel self care and energy management, including a powerful (yet gentle) breath and posture practice. We also review the ethics of channeling, and experience a Q & A session with Lyssa's guides to assist the new channels with their development, plus much more.
Most of all, please always remember that this training program is part initiation, part training, and part deep inner exploration. It is very sacred work and because of that, we ask that if you decide to join the course, that you consider it to be a spiritual commitment and devote yourself 100% to the process. If you do, your devotion and inner work will be profound and deep. We are so honored to be able to share this course with you and look forward to working together.

- Specific breath work to balance the energy meridians, focus the mind, integrate both sides of the brain, and build energy in the body

- How to learn to trust your channeling ability and what ‘trusting it’ means
- How to continue to refine your clarity as a channel
- Actual channeling practice supported and guided by Lyssa and group members
- Specific advanced-level breath work to continue strengthening the channel's energy field, focus the mind, build energy in the body
- Much more!

If you would like Lyssa to offer this course to your group in your city, please send an email to us with your proposal and requests. Within the USA, the group must have 12 minimum participants (not including coordinators, who, if hosting at their home, receive special discounts). The group must be very committed and sincere. (For overseas requests, the parameters may be different, due to travel and expense considerations). Depending upon the location of your city (and how easy it is for Lyssa to travel there) she will consider your proposal and try to find a way to create an individualized training for your group which may include partial work via Internet conferences.
